Book project based on the political manifesto “The Basis of African Socialism” written by Tanzania’s first president Julius Nyerere in 1962. The book consists of three narratives – Nyerere’s original text (25 pages), my experiences (14 pages) and my own written reflections (6 pages) – and a reflection on experience and identity.
